Our thanks to Bryn for this. An extract:
A mother banned from every hospital in the UK after posing as a medical professional twice has avoided being sent to jail.
Sarah Caine, 30, was charged with impersonating a doctor and stealing medical equipment, but said in court she was ‘terrified of going to prison’.
Caine admitted the charges put to her, but smiled when she was let off with a £440 fine.
Indeed the Corston Report policy of closing women’s prisons ignores one important role of Prison, to remove a risk from the public. It is all of a piece that female criminals are seen as “victims” to be helped and their actual victim’s are effectively forgotten..
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/thinking-man/men-more-likely-to-be-sacrificed-for-the-benefit-of-others-than/ Hardly new but a reminder that the assertion that women are in some way treated worse is nonsense. This case yet another where a dangerous woman poses a risk precisely because we routinely minimise the harms done by women as we cannot face the notion that they are quite as capable of good and bad as males.
What is so frightening is that it is only a matter of time before this woman seriously hurts, if not kills, someone.
