In our 2015 general election manifesto there was a section on sexual abuse (pp.31-37). It included details of a major (American) study on victims of sexual assault by members of the opposite sex, from which we can draw the conclusion that slightly over a quarter of these victims are men.
The criminal justice system in the UK takes virtually no interest in women sexually abusing men, women, and children. The Sexual Offences Act 2003 was a triumph of feminist manipulation, and introduced the principle that only men could rape. So it is that we come to Daniel Stretton’s petition to HM Government, which we would ask you to sign, as we have. Thank you.
I have a difficulty with this petition. In fact the offence of ‘assault by penetration’, of which a woman can be guilty, does carry a maximum life sentence. So the wording of the petition is incorrect. The problem, as is so often the case, is not so much the letter of the law as the manner in which it is interpreted – because society will not see female sexual abuse of a male by a female as particularly serious. So actually a woman committing assault by penetration is, in truth, extremely unlikely to get a life sentence (or, indeed, any sentence at all). I do agree, though, that the pejorative word ‘rape’ should be attached to this offence – I see no reason for a different offence category, other than for feminist propaganda purposes. More important is the recognition of ‘made to penetrate’ as an offence, which the petition does not address. Society has a very long way to go before this gets anywhere near the statute book, unfortunately. Empathy gap? Oh, yes.

a good level a skepticism is good but like you said its not taken seriously if rape is not used in it. also the definition wold include force to penetrate which assault by penetration does not cover in it. certainly if this even gets a moderate amount of attention i think it would be worth it and certainly help shrink the empathy gap.

also ‘assault by penetration’ does carry a big sentence but it cannot go up to a life sentence. http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/s_to_u/sentencing_manual/sexual_assult_by_penetration/
