Protect boys: ban male circumcision for under-18s on non-medical grounds.

This petition to the government, created by Charlotte Cornell, really deserves mass support. It has received 2,678 signatures to date, and the government website says this:

At 10,000 signatures, government will respond to this petition

At 100,000 signatures, this petition will be considered for debate in Parliament

Given that male circumcision for under-18s on non-medical grounds is already unquestionably illegal, even reaching the first hurdle, of 10,000 signatures, would put the government in a difficult situation. So please join me in signing the petition (you’ll need to be a British citizen or UK resident). It will take you only seconds. Thank you.

There’s a link on the site to a map with the number of signatories per parliamentary constituency, it’s also here. Click on the box under the map, select your constituency, and the number of signatories in your constituency will appear in a box in the top left corner of your screen.
