Carrie Harwood, 20, nursery nurse who was spared jail over gang beating of an innocent man has now been locked up after she ignored court order to attend probation appointments

Our thanks to Francis for this. Harwood should have been jailed for her crime in the first place. Her contempt of a court order to attend probation appointments was presumably a manifestation of a young woman realising (with good reason) that she’s virtually unaccountable for her actions.

  1. “She has no explaination, no reason, no excuse for what she did”
Well I can think of at least one reason straight away. She’s an unpricipled little thug despite being a
    ” slip of a girl “.
I imagine she might have been expecting a male judge who she could beguile in the usual way – unlucky that.
“She has brains, qualifications and aptitude” – perhaps that could have been ‘ brains qualifications and attitude ‘.
“CLOSE WOMEN’S PRISONS” says a report by ‘The Women’s Justice Taskforce’, (what?!!) as heavily reported by the BBC news website – that’s a surprise.
So, clearly an objective, fair and unbiased report then – can’t think of any objections there at all.
Since this girl didn’t turn up for probation I would have thought it unlikely she’d pay a fine either.
So exactly what does one do with criminals like this?
    Hmm, tricky one….
Just have to let them off then, no choice since locking them up for the protection of the public is to become illegal.
The closure of Holloway has already been announced of course but , hey look on the bright side.
It’ll mean more prison space for men once we start banging them up for using grumpy words to their wives – otherwise known as ‘Domestic Violence’ under VAWA legislation designed to add another layer of protection to what is already the safest demographic ever.
