Alison Saunders’s response to our FOI request is now SEVEN weeks overdue

Alison Saunders, Director of Public Prosecutions, failed to respond by the required deadline to our FOI request asking for minutes of meetings she’s had since she took on her role, with organizations advocating for victims of domestic and/or sexual abuse. Her response is now SEVEN weeks overdue.

Our letter to Ms Saunders is here. We’ll publish a post each week on the delay, and email the Crown Prosecution Service each time, until we get a response,

  1. Is it worth starting up a 38 degrees campaign to demand that govt respect the FOI act?
and then add an example of saunders refusing to respect the FOI request?

for anyone who follows 38 degrees they do a survey every so often about what members want and there is a blank page to add addtional campaign ideas. i have added MGM at the top of list, along with 50/50 joint custody and family court reform and to ban any campaign that uses inaccurate and false statistics that cannot be proven reliably through peer review
