A remarkable piece of research undertaken by HEqual – here. He notes that none of the 11 male suicides he cites were reported by the Guardian either. We’ve added his article to our Key posts, in the ‘BBC anti-male bias’ section.

My sincere apologies for the dull thud and for the human bite-marks on the chaise longue. Naturally, when I read that the BBC’s reporting is biased and subject to a rabid feminist agenda, well, I fainted clean away in shock, as anyone would.
As for the Guardian, I’ve only ever seen that publication on string in the outhouse, where it awaits and duly receives appropriate daily comment from me. If only they would print it in tabloid format we might also use a sheet or two of it to line the budgerigar’s winter cage.
Actually I still feel faint rather over the startling news of the BBC, might I have the smelling salts again please, and a small glass of Laudanum (ice, no slice)? Biased, you say? Whoever would have guessed it. In the days when I used to watch/listen/read the BBC I just assumed that they had a viciously tongue-in-cheek editorial policy but no sense of when a joke might have been done to death. You mean that they were serious? Ye gods.

Add Huffington Post, Raw Story and many others. Even the mainstream TV networks tend to focus only on female=victim stories.

To be fair, the Huffington Post did actually report on one of the the cases and of course the independent finally covered this topic with its recent coverage of the Jay Cheshire case

So, in other words we’re actually in a situation where the BBC is worse than both the Independent and Huffington Post when it comes to this issue!
