‘Shocking extent’ of female genital mutilation is revealed as more than 1,000 new victims are treated in NHS hospitals in three months

Our thanks to M for this. The ‘new victims’ are, of course, nothing of the sort. They are women who’ve been identified in a period of three months as having undergone FGM at some point in the past – many of them decades ago, probably – due to new reporting regulations. And we know nothing about the proportion who regard themselves as ‘victims’. From the article:

In April 2014, hospitals across England were told to start recording all cases of FGM they identified.

I assume hospitals haven’t been recording all cases of MGM they identified, though MGM too is illegal. An oversight, I’m sure. Another extract:

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), FGM is carried out for social and religious reasons and is an ‘extreme form of discrimination against women’.

Absolute nonsense, as we’d expect of the feminist-infiltrated WHO, which is currently co-funding the circumcision of 20 million men in sub-Saharan Africa, purportedly to slow the spread of AIDS. The scientific evidence in support of this mass butchery of men’s genitals is close to non-existent – it may even accelerate the spread of AIDS. Still, a small price to pay to keep taxpayer-funded professional feminists happy, eh? An insightful video on the matter by 5hadowfax is here.

FGM is overwhelmingly carried out by women, at the behest of women. If it were up to men, FGM would swiftly come to an end – which would be bad news for some professional feminists.

  1. I saw that earlier and noticed that at that time very few of the comments made any reference to the millions (billions?) of men disfigured and disadvantaged by MGM. It’s ALWAYS worse for women.
