We are going to continue with our peaceful efforts at engaging with Nottingham University students and staff, which we did last Friday. Hopefully there won’t be a repeat of anything like the soiled cat litter incident. We have no wish to intimidate or threaten anyone, we simply seek calm rational discussions with people who are prepared to accept that there might be men’s and boys’ issues which need to be addressed, such as the 20 issues in our election manifesto.
The venue will be the same as before, just outside the West Entrance of the University Park campus of Nottingham University. Details of the location and a map may be found here. There are a number of Pay & Display car parks on the campus, and the best Postcode for those using satnav is NG7 2QL.
We plan to be at the venue over 11:30 – 14:00, on Saturday 14 March. We plan to repeat the event several more times over the weeks before the general election on 7 May.
We will have leaflets for supporters to hand out to passers-by. It’s the one currently being distributed door-to-door on behalf of Ray Barry, leader of Real Fathers for Justice, our candidate for the Broxtowe constituency in which many of the students reside. Ray will be with us, and we hope Ian Young – our candidate for the Sherwood constituency – will be able to change his existing plans for the day, and also join us.
We look forward to seeing plenty of supporters at the event, and we hope it will be peaceful and constructive.
If physically assaulted, we will not respond with violence. If you don’t think you can manage such self-control, we ask that you don’t attend. Thank you.
