Anne O’Regan, we salute you

Anne O’Regan is a Welsh woman with grandsons and granddaughters. She has a growing and well-earned reputation as a feisty campaigner for all victims of domestic violence, regardless of their age or gender.

Anne has recently been engaged in an exchange of letters with Alun Michael, Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales. The letters have been published in the South Wales Echo, and Anne’s latest letter is here – scroll down to ‘Don’t forget men and boys’.

We salute Anne for her efforts to have all victims of domestic violence recognized.

Our public challenge of Leighton Andrews AM, Minister for Public Services, National Assembly for Wales

Leighton Andrews AM is the Minister for Public Services at the National Assembly for Wales, where feminist thinking has utterly corrupted the development of new legislation relating to domestic violence.

A hint of that corruption is contained in the recent change in the title of the legislation. At the start of a short video piece posted two weeks ago on his Facebook page, Leighton Andrews said this:

Yesterday we passed the second stage of the Gender-Based Violence Bill, and the bill is now called the Violence Against Women Bill. I’m delighted we were able to move government amendments to change the title of the bill, and to add into the bill a very important section about violence against women and girls.

In a moment we’ll be emailing a public challenge to Leighton Andrews – the letter is here – and sending a copy to every member of the National Assembly for Wales.

Kate Smurthwaite – ‘The wrong sort of feminist’

Our thanks to R for this gem. It concerns the cancellation of a Kate Smurthwaite gig. Ms S is the feminist ‘comedian’ who’s currently the leading contender for this month’s ‘Lying Feminist of the Month’ award, following a lie she posted on her Facebook page – details here.

The article concerns the cancellation of one of her gigs, purportedly on security grounds. But might there be a more credible explanation for the cancellation? Of course. We’ve highlighted it in the following extract from the piece:

In a tweet, Goldsmiths Feminist Society said they had not denied Smurthwaite a platform to speak ‘and had nothing to do with the decision to cancel the show’. Goldsmiths Students’ Union said it was the comedy society’s decision to cancel the show.

The organiser of the Goldsmiths Comedy Society has not responded to Chortle’s request for comment, but a statement released online said: ‘Despite many complaints from students about the content of Kate’s act in the past we were planning to go ahead with the gig until Kate told me 24 hours before that there was likely to be a picket with lots of students and non students outside the venue. I couldn’t verify this. Up to this point we had only sold eight tickets so I decided to pull the plug.’

Tickets had been on sale for the show, entitled Leftie Cock Womble, for several weeks but the cancellation was only announced last night. And it had been advertised as free for members of the feminist society.

Feminist ‘comedians’ – even feminists don’t find them funny. Ouch.

Full videos of Mike Buchanan’s discussions with Caroline Criado-Perez on ITV’s ‘This Morning’

We thought ITV had made available publicly less than five minutes of the first of two discussions with CC-P on a recent edition of ITV’s This Morning, so we thank Denise for pointing us to a link on ITV’s website which has full videos of both discussions, together lasting a little over 20 minutes – here. You’ll need to key in a UK postcode to access the piece.

CC-P earned her third  Lying Feminist of the Month award for a lie she uttered in the first session, and after the second session I handed her the first two award certificates. These women – Special Snowflake is another, of course – simply can’t help themselves. As the saying goes:

How do you know a feminist is lying? Her lips move.

18 months or more ago, however poorly a feminist had fared in a media discussion with me, feminists would excitedly claim online – on Twitter, Facebook pages etc. – that the feminist had triumphed over me. To the best of my knowledge, that hasn’t happened for over a year. We’ve posted all the TV and radio appearances of Ray Barry and myself that we could, onto our YouTube channel.

On a recent BBC radio programme Bea Campbell, 67, for decades a prominent Marxist lesbian feminist, only spoke to the presenter after I was off air, and referred to ‘the Buchanan phenomenon’. The audio file and some commentary is here.

Andrew Lowry pens a dire article for the ‘Telegraph’

Our thanks to M for pointing us to this. M adds:

The once loved Telegraph continues it’s sad decline into femarxist disinformation via egregious misrepresentation.

He’s right. I can’t recall when I last read such an ignorant article, purportedly about men’s rights campaigners, who Lowry equates with disaffected (and mostly mentally ill) multiple murderers. Disgraceful. I’ve left a comment and invite you to do likewise. The piece has already had 1,000+ comments, mostly strongly supportive of men’s rights.

‘Feminism: the ugly truth’ is selling well on Amazon’s Canadian website

Our thanks to John for informing us that Feminism: the ugly truth is selling particularly well on Amazon’s Canadian website – here. It’s the #2 bestseller in the Kindle ‘Politics reference books’ category and – pleasingly – the #7 bestseller in the ‘Feminist Theory’ category. Presumably the only feminist reviews of the book – two one-star spoiler ‘reviews’, both from people who haven’t actually bought it – have had the impact on sales we’ve learned to expect.

The J4MB election manifesto is the #5 bestselling Kindle title in the category ‘Civil Rights & Liberties’

Our thanks to all the people who’ve ordered copies of the Kindle edition of our election manifesto, and taken it within two days to #5 in its category, ‘Civil Rights & Liberties’. It’s available to order for just £4.99 – I’ve paid more than that for a pint of beer in London – here. (Our thanks to DF Dodds too, for his five-star review). The sales proceeds will help us fight a stronger campaign over the coming three months.
