Anne O’Regan is a Welsh woman with grandsons and granddaughters. She has a growing and well-earned reputation as a feisty campaigner for all victims of domestic violence, regardless of their age or gender.
Anne has recently been engaged in an exchange of letters with Alun Michael, Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales. The letters have been published in the South Wales Echo, and Anne’s latest letter is here – scroll down to ‘Don’t forget men and boys’.
We salute Anne for her efforts to have all victims of domestic violence recognized.
Anne is deservedly supported here. J4MB has mounted a challenge to the clearly sexist language of a Bill going through the Welsh Assembly. As Anne points out the sexism of the commissioner is against his Oath. And indeed it is against the Equality Act. Clearly Anne and other welsh people fighting for equity and human rights should be supported.
