Mike Buchanan debates with Roz Hardie (Lying Feminist of the Month) on an Irish radio station

Last night I was engaged in an hour-long discussion on an Irish radio station, Classic Hits 4FM, which I hope you’ll enjoy as much as I did, for reasons which are explained in the notes below the video. I invite you to email Niall Boylan, the host of the programme, to thank him for for his robust challenging of a radical feminist. How rarely we encounter that in the media. His email address is niall.boylan@classichits.ie.

About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.

  • Well that was quite a change from the usual “debates”. Knowledgeable callers, issues discussed at length, and and honest, fair and extremely knowledgeable host.

Roz didn’t half dodge a lot of questions, though in fairness when she actually eventually answered some she spoke slightly more sense that many feminists and she at least acknowledged the problem of false allegations, male victims of sex abuse etc (though not female perpetrators).

Really enjoyed you calling her out a a iar and was quite surprised she’d challenge her “lying feminist of the month” award given it’s one of the most blatant and extreme lies of any recipient.

I also enjoyed the female caller who highlighted the issue of sexism in Muslim cultures and tbh thought you probably missed a trick there. It’s pretty universally accepted that feminism is a movement for privileged white females and that was the perfect opportunity to state such a fact. Feminists such as Roz don’t really ever work to help genuinely oppressed women abroad and furthermore the feminist silence on the issue of huge scandal in Rotherham was deafening (and still is),. Were feminism concerned with poor working class girls then Rotherham would have easily have been the number 1,2 and 3 issue on their agenda and they’d have been raising it every week for the last 15 years.

  • I thought it was an interesting tactic for Roz to challange you to campaign on all sorts of issues such as house building. Obviously she looked pretty stupid trying to derail the conversation in this way, but it would certainly have worked with the roels reversed and were hte ponts on-topic.

Perhaps you could challenge feminists to join you and J4M&B in condemning ALL child genital mutilation “his body his choice” might be a useful phrase to use.

Similarly only a sexist could oppose expanding the rape definition to become gender neutral, or oppose shared parenting.

As for Page 3, anyone with any sense can see your average women’s magazine is massively more violent, destructive, demeaning toward both sexes, not to mention harmful to children. So if feminists aren’t’ trying to shut down those before Page 3 then they’re clearly got an anti-male and anti-sex agenda.
