Science vs Feminism: ‘Intimate Partner Violence – Worldwide’

A quick ‘speed read’ tells us this newly-published report is a remarkable addition to the library of materials on IPV.

About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.

  • sAs the Author points out there is probably no other area of public policy so perverted by comprehensive falsification. Now one reason, actually articulated by a past director of REFUGE, is the danger to their funding if male victimisation was acknowledged an appropriately funded. However it goes deeper than this. In a society ” programmed” to protect women it is easy to garner support for protecting women. That emotional support is then garnered into much wider political projects . In effect it is the “Trojan Horse” to push forward on a wider agenda all built on an image that women are inherently vulnerable to men . The crucial nature of this can been seen in attempts to widen ” violence”  or “Abuse” to an ever  wider group of behaviours , repeat aged or discredited data, introduce new causes for moral panic( trafficking, FGM, Forced Marriage) which though terrible are in fact rare in our population or coopt new areas if concern into their analysis ( teen dating abuse and elder abuse) . All of this is necessary simply because so much of the political project ” making the personal political” is built on a core idea that men are always and inherently abusive to an extent requiring state intervention to protect women.
If widespread evidence that the central hypothesis  is false became widely known then the whole thing falls like cards and loses it’s key claim to public sympathies. This is the reason for the resolute and constant “hiding”  of the evidence so clearly set out in the PASK project latterly.

Good news for men in need in Bradford.  An illustration of the link between male homelessness and Domestic Abuse. Also an illustration of the lack of public funding for men. Well done the Cyrenians in Bradford.
