Not long ago we publicly challenged Theresa May, Home Secretary, over a deeply flawed and feminist-driven Home Office consultation on strengthening the law on domestic abuse – our letter is here. We later submitted a 150+ page report to the consultation.
We’ve just received a letter from an official at the Home Office. We see not the slightest suggestion in the letter that the Home Office has engaged substantively with the content of either of the documents we sent. But let’s wait for the Home Office to publish its response to the consultation, which is due shortly.
Justice for Men & Boys 
A similar piss-ant party line reply to the one I got from Nicky Morgan’s office this year. You’re up against a politically-embedded multimillion pound industry that will not give up a penny without a fight.
Feminists are often riotously angry at the idea of funding being “taken away from women,” but the budget for Abuse Support NGOs is finite and when 99.5% is spent on female-only agencies, all I can suggest is to say: “That budget is for victims, not just females, and it’s all been spent on women for 40 years. Men want a fair share, that’s all.” One damned “national ‘phone line” is not enough.
I’d very much like to see an actual breakdown of how the tens of millions going to the “usual suspects” is actually spent. From what I can see, it’s mostly going on lobbying, huge salaries, grandiose (and bigoted) marketing and lavish events – rather than helping victims of abuse. It’s almost as if maintaining cycles of abuse is what’s keeping the money coming in year after…oh, hello.

‘We also recognise that both men and women can be victims of domestic violence . . . ‘ Ah, but do they also recognise that both men and women can be perpetrators of DV? (ie I hope they are not implying that men are only victims in gay relationships?) They do say they are ‘determined to ensure that the law applies equally to both genders’, so maybe we should live in hope.

Very insightful point on perpetrators… of course he couldn’t say that, as it would fly in the face of the male control theory of DV, which is at the core of feminist thinking and government policies.
