I recall something of the storm. The content being nothing like that reported. Hats off to Neil.
I bought Neil Lyndon’s book in 1992 when it was first published. I like to remind people that it came out the year before Warren Farrell’s The Myth of Male Power. Also worth noting is David Thomas’s “Not Guilty” which also came out in 1993. I cannot remember which of the two UK books this quote relates to, but I recall the publisher saying “we’ll not be publishing it so much as throwing copies over the barricades”. Have we got as far as lowering the barricades now? I’ve downloaded Neil’s latest edition (available now on Kindle at a very reasonable £2.85).
Excellent News. All success to Neil. Perhaps it will be better received now.
