The University of Toronto required a police presence to enable this presentation to go ahead. To its credit, the university absorbed the costs, rather than demand the organisers (CAFE) pay.

Justice for Men & Boys 
The threats show misandy pure and simple. Bizarre, as the speaker is not at all exonerating “men” but simply pointing out boys and men do get abused and the perpetrators can be men or women. One cannot believe that such a talk could cause any problem for femenists except in a warped world where any compassion for any male somehow means there is less care for women. As if there is a finite amount of compassion and it all must be ring fenced for women.

Thanks. I think in a sense there is ‘a finite amount of compassion’ – e.g. where there’s taxpayer’s money available, feminists are outraged if 100% is not given to women’s organisations. We’ve seen that even when additional sums have been made available specifically to help men (e.g. with respect to refuge places) feminists seek to appropriate all the new money too. The DV industry is designed to hoover up all available money for women’s organisations.
