Mark Brooks will be giving evidence to the Welsh Assembly tomorrow

Mark Brooks, the estimable chairman of Mankind Initiative, will tomorrow morning be giving evidence to a Welsh Assembly inquiry on the Gender-based Violence, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (Wales) Bill. The charity’s written submission to the inquiry is here, he’ll be speaking in the 10:55 – 11:30 session. We wish him every success.

About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.

  • I certainly do. I note “New Pathways” in their submission on sexual violence note the increasing proportion of male victims coming forward and are concerned about these victims being rendered invisible. In Mark’s session is Safer Wales. and actually their submission is shameful. Unlike Mark’s their submission is evidence “lite” and is about Wales conforming to UN sponsored campaigns rather than any concern about welsh people.
