Here we go again. A 64-year-old woman, a benefits cheat who embezzled £144,000 over 20 years, gets a ‘punishment’ of having to pay the money back – which isn’t punishment, even in the unlikely event she ever does pay the sum back. Why doesn’t the state tell it like it is, that women are above the law?
