Ellie Slee: ‘The Bloody Cheek of the Tampon Tax’

Ellie Slee is a HuffPo contributor and a false allegator (sic). We presented her with a ‘Whiny Woman of the Month’ award after she wrote a false allegation about J4MB in a piece and refused to retract the offending text even after we’d politely asked her to – HuffPo retracted the text after we contacted their legal team. All her pieces relating to gender matters appear to us to be ridiculous. We keep thinking she couldn’t possibly write anything more ridiculous, but she keeps proving us wrong. Her latest, just published:

I invite you to leave a comment about her piece, on her post rather than here. Thank you.

Use all-women shortlists for top jobs to solve chronic shortage of female executives, says Vince Cable

To call Vince Cable an idiot would be to insult idiots:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2634502/Use-women-shortlists-jobs-solve-chronic-shortage-female-executives-says-Cable.html#ixzz32KlAFVGT

This is the man who once said that if he were prime minister, he would follow President Francois Hollande’s example and have a gender-balanced cabinet. Well, that’s worked out well for France, hasn’t it?

Our associated organisation Campaign for Merit in Business http://c4mb.wordpress.com has presented concrete evidence to Comrade Cable, the department he leads – Department for Business, Innovation, and Skills – as well as House of Commons and House of Lords inquiries, showing that increasing the proportion of women on corporate boards leads to financial decline.

We’ve put in FoI requests seeking evidence for the government’s previous claims that putting more women on boards will lead to performance improvement. None has ever been forthcoming. This hasn’t stopped the government from continuing to threaten legislated gender quotas for FTSE100 boards if they haven’t achieved female representation on their boards by 2015. In fact, they’re going further. We know from a recent report that next in the firing line will be the FTSE350, and that gender parity on boards is the longer-term goal.

Still, all this may not be a problem. All it requires is that the state become self-funding, so it won’t need income from corporation taxes or the income taxes paid by private sector employees.

Elena Rybolovlev earned an average of £321,600 per day for 24 years… for being married

From the Daily Mail:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2633382/Russian-oligarch-ordered-pay-world-record-2-7-BILLION-divorce-settlement-six-year-court-battle-US-mansions-100million-Greek-island.html

It’s the story of the divorce settlement between a Russian oligarch, Dmitry Rybolovlev, and his wife Elena, who’ve been married for 24 years. They met before he made his money. There’s no suggestion in the article – or any other articles I’ve read – that she played the slightest part in his business activities.

You have to assume they both lived in the lap of luxury after he’d made his fortune. The divorce settlement is equivalent to £321,600 for every day of their marriage. What did she do to deserve such an astonishing sum? She married him. That’s it.

This is said to be the largest divorce settlement in history, but it’s merely an extreme example of the toxic phenomenon of women using divorce for personal enrichment. We shouldn’t be surprised that women file 75% of divorce applications. The state encourages them to divorce. We’ll be launching a new blog in the coming days on the subject of marriage and divorce.

In developed countries with equal opportunities for both genders, men and women are more likely to pursue traditionally gender-typical lines of work

A couple of days ago I had an interesting discussion with a MHRA, Peter, who pointed me to some very interesting material generated by a Norwegian comedian, about the ‘Norwegian paradox’ – why was it that in the country judged to have the highest gender equality in the world, the genders persist decade after decade to go into traditionally gender-typical lines of work?

The comedian’s documentaries led to the Norwegian government taking decisive action against The Nordic Gender Institute. This  story will be of particular interest to anyone interested in gender-typical behaviour differences, nature / nurture, and the extent to which differences may or may not be the result of gender differences in brain ‘wiring’. It makes a mockery, of course, of initiatives such as that at Brunel University in which female postgraduate engineering students are paid an addition grant of £15,000 on the grounds of gender alone.

Psychologists come out well in this programme, sociologists not. Sociologists are left in the unhappy position of denying the validity of more and more material every year showing how important ‘nature’ is in driving gender-typical differences.

I’ve watched the first video (38:53) in its entirety, and I recommend it strongly. Professor Simon Baron-Cohen, a world-renowned psychology professor at Trinity College, Cambridge, makes an appearance (20:17 – 25:08). He was the author of a book I recommend to people all the time, The Essential Difference (2003).

The remainder of this blog post is from Peter, who I thank warmly for pointing me to this:

“Here’s the link to ‘Hjernevask’ – the amazing Norwegian documentary I talked about:

http://www.dailymotion.com/playlist/x1xv47_BrainwashingInNorway_hjernevask-english/1#video=xp0tg8

Look for part 1, the one about ‘gender’, with English subtitles. As a result of the documentary, which basically proves that gender feminism is a load of unscientific balls, the Norwegian government dismantled and de-funded the Nordic Gender Institute:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordic_Gender_Institute

It’s absolutely hilarious watching Prof. Simon Baron-Cohen just pull apart feminist logic with a sort of tired, ‘God-I-can’t-believe-I-have-to-refute-this-nonsense’ air.”

This is what a child molester looks like

Just published on AVfM, with a link to a disturbing video recorded on a train in (we assume) England. If the genders were reversed, this would be on national television until the man assaulting the girl was caught and charged. A great deal of police resource would be dedicated to finding him. But it’s only a boy, nothing to see here, move along…

High Court judge who spoke out in favour of marriage says he would have been ‘publicly hanged’ if he had spoken out again

An interesting piece on Sir Paul Coleridge, a high court judge who stepped down after being disciplined for campaigning in favour of marriage:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2632061/High-Court-judge-spoke-favour-marriage-says-publicly-hanged-spoken-again.html#ixzz326oVFPSt

From the article:

Sir Paul, 64, officially retired from the High Court’s family division last month but is continuing to sit as a judge while he finishes hearing three divorce cases.

He set up the Marriage Foundation to research the consequences of family breakdown on children, which he says is increased risk of indiscipline in schools, drug-taking, behavioural problems, gang violence, poor mental health, lack of achievement in exams and failure in the job market.

He said the ‘epidemic’ was damaging the lives of millions of children, with some 3.8million caught up in the family justice system.

He said: ‘I am not saying that every broken family produces dysfunctional children but almost every dysfunctional child is the product of a broken family. Separation of parents may be good for the parents. It is never, never, never good for the children.’

Judge awards frozen embryos to 42-year-old doctor who froze fertilized eggs with boyfriend who now says he no longer wants children after lengthy legal battle

A supporter sent us this link along with one word of comment – ‘Outrageous’. We agree.
