The assaults on academia by left-wing ideologues

Year after year the assaults by left-wing ideologues – including feminists – on academia become ever stronger. We see this also in the field of taxpayer-funded scientific research, where initiatives to ‘encourage’ women into STEMM subjects, and then to propel them into more senior positions than they’re qualified for, are gathering pace. Initiatives such as Athena SWAN, on which we’ve reported, will ensure that taxpayer-funded research grants won’t be offered to institutions deemed to be insufficiently effective at meeting feminist-dictated recruitment and promotion targets which inevitably advantage female researchers at the expense of male researchers.

AVfM has just published an interesting 12-minute video of Harvey Silverglate, an American human rights lawyer and graduate of Harvard Law School, talking about the impact of the takeovers by left-wing ideologues of the faculties and administrations of major American universities – Harvard in particular – which is mirrored across most of the developed world, by all accounts.

About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.

Subsidise irrationality, and you get more irrationality, and some sociopathy thrown in for good measure.

I’ve long suspected that these ivory towers that they try to pass off as ‘higher education institutions’ are there purely for the purpose of allowing academics to indulge in their despotic fantasies with minimal damage to the economy.

    • I only wish it was ‘with minimal damage to the economy’. I think the damage is HUGE in so many areas. With respect to the economy, feminist ideologues (e.g. at Cranfield Uni) have for decades argued that corporate financial performance would improve with more gender-diverse boards. Campaign for Merit in Business http:” has put concrete evidence to them, and to politicians, that driving up gender diversity on corporate boards leads to declines in corporate financial performance, yet the ‘direction of travel’ continues regardless. With respect to social policies, we know that over 90% of sociologists self-describe their politics as left-wing, and only 3% say they vote Conservative. The destruction of marriage and the nuclear family, and many other attacks on men and boys, can in large measure be attributed to the ideologically-driven narratives presented relentlessly by ‘academics’. We know most if not all feminist ‘research’ (taxpayer-funded, needless to say) is fraudulent, as described by Swayne O’Pie in ‘Why Britain Hates Men: Exposing Feminism’.
