Karen Straughan, Alison Tieman, Della Burton: Debut of ‘Honey Badger Radio’

‘Honey badger’ (‘HB’) is a North American slang term for a female MHRA (men’s human rights advocate). I’ve just finished listening to the two-hour-long debut episode of AVfM ‘Honey Badger Radio’, first broadcast three days ago. It mainly consists of a wide-ranging and insightful discussion between three North American HBs who are well known to, and admired by, people in the MHRM including supporters of AVfM such as myself:

Karen Straughan (‘GirlWritesWhat’)

Alison Tieman (‘TyphonBlue’)

Della Burton

The debut edition of Honey Badger Radio (link below) is well worth listening to, and I look forward to future episodes.

Einstein’s Theory of Relationships (1921): ‘American men are the toy dogs of women’. William Wrigley Jr agrees. Mrs Frederick D Countess diagrees.

Robert St Estephe is the driving force behind a remarkable website, ‘The Unknown History of Misandry: Setting the Record Straight’ http://unknownmisandry.blogspot.com. He’s uncovered a great deal of material demonstrating that what people have been led to believe about the relations between the genders over the course of history is a plausible but generally fictional narrative. He’s just tracked down a New York Times piece from 1921, in which Albert Einstein revealed the truth about the relationship between American men and women at the time:

92 years later, is the situation much different in the USA, UK, and most developed countries? If anything, it’s become worse for men. For decades many men have financed their ex-partners and children whilst being denied access to their children. The ‘enforcer’ of this monstrous reality – an emotional assault on children and their fathers – is the state, although British men collectively pay 72% of the income taxes that largely finance the state, and women just 28%:

You don’t have to be a genius to understand that at some point the state will have to stop assaulting men… or things will become very ugly.

We repeat our public challenge to Kat Banyard

A couple of supporters (and a delegate at this weekend’s ‘Summer School’ in Birmingham, pleasingly) have asked if I can point them to an article I wrote about the public challenge I made to Kat Banyard (UK Feminista) in relation to a highly dubious statistic she asserted on Channel 4 News. I’ve tracked it down (link below), it was written for the influential American MHR website ‘A Voice for Men’ and published in March. The piece also mentions two other delightful young ladies, as you’ll gather from the piece’s title, ‘Kat Banyard, Laura Bates, Finn Mackay: The noisy handful’:

http://www.avoiceformen.com/feminism/kat-banyard-laura-bates-finn-mackay-the-noisy-handful/

It need hardly be said that even after the expiry of five months, Kat Banyard has yet to respond to the challenge. I imagine poisoning the minds of lots of young women must be a full-time occupation for her, and those like her, but hopefully she’ll get round to responding to the challenge at some point.

500 feminists are gathering in Birmingham this weekend. Forecast: gloomy, with occasional bouts of thunder

One has no great hopes from Birmingham. I always say there is something direful in the sound.

Jane Austen, Emma (1816)

Jane Austen was the authoress who wrote about women’s desperate attempts to marry well-off men. What an inspiration for feminists she is, yet Frances Wilson, literary critic of the Daily Mail describes Austen as dull and over-rated. She isn’t wrong:

https://j4mbdotorgdotuk.wordpress.com/2013/08/08/frances-wilson-so-dull-so-over-rated-jane-austen-doesnt-deserve-to-be-on-the-10-note/

500 rays of sunshine are gathering in Birmingham this weekend. They include Laura Bates of The Everyday Whining Project, so fun times are guaranteed for all. Yes, it’s UK Feminista’s Summer School:

http://ukfeminista.org.uk/event-details/summer-school-2013/

The website contains all the conspiracy theories, fantasies, lies, delusions and myths we’d expect. This gem caught our eye:

Schools Against Sexism Petition

One in three girls are ‘groped’ at school and sexual harassment in (sic) routine. It’s time for schools to take a lead on gender equality and support students who stand up against sexism.

Why do we call this a ‘gem’? Because the ‘one in three girls’ claim is the same misleading statement made by Kat Banyard – the ‘brains’ behind UK Feminista – on Channel 4 News five months ago. The following is a link to the video of the programme, while the commentary includes the challenge I sent to Ms Banyard at katbanyard@yahoo.co.uk:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3R3fMxygLXw

The challenge remains unanswered to this day. In common with all prominent feminists, Kat Banyard is shameless in making misleading statements, and not revoking them when challenged.

It doesn’t take long looking at the website for the Summer School to realise it’s the predictable old mix of conspiracy theories, fantasies, lies, delusions and myths. Even that hardy perennial, the gender pay gap, is there, despite being a phenomenon completely explained by men’s and women’s freely made choices with respect to the world of work. All this wallowing in false victimhood leads us to an inescapable thought. Maybe feminists should be seeking therapy, rather than seeking to destroy society yet further? An interesting piece on this very question:

We hope the ladies enjoy themselves this weekend, and return home re-energised to continue their assaults on the patriarchy. If they watch a 13-minute video they’ll realise they’re living in a matriarchy, not a patriarchy. But they have so much invested in patriarchy theory and victim mentality they’d probably prefer to avoid such challenging material, and carry on as they are, driven by hatred of men, the family, marriage etc. Why anyone would choose unhappiness over happiness is anyone’s guess, but the most obvious explanation, as we saw from the last link, is psychological issues. Institute of Economic Affairs: ’10 female Keynesian economists + 10 male Keynesian economists = 20 Keynesian economists’

The Institute of Economic Affairs (‘IEA’) is universally regarded as being in the very top rank of British think tanks. We were delighted to see an article by Kristian Niemietz (an IEA economist) a couple of days ago, and we’ve just learned of a new one by Professor Philip Booth, the IEA’s Editorial and Programme Director, and a former adviser on financial stability issues at the Bank of England:

http://www.iea.org.uk/blog/10-female-keynesian-economists-10-male-keynesian-economists-20-keynesian-economists

We thank the IEA for being unique among British think tanks in raising concerns over the possible impacts of longstanding gender-related policy directions on the performance of key institutions such as banks and companies.

Natasha Devon: Behold the mythical ‘Anti-Feminist’!

I was intrigued to be alerted this afternoon to an interesting article published in the Independent a couple of weeks ago. It was penned by Natasha Devon and titled, “Behold the mythical ‘Anti-Feminist’!”

http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/comment/behold-the-mythical-antifeminist-8740266.html

A google search led me to Ms Devon’s website http://www.bodygossip.org/ where I’ve just left the following comment:

Natasha, good afternoon. A supporter has just pointed me towards your article published in the Independent on 1 August. The Anti-Feminist you describe is indeed ‘mythical’:

The much hyped – but never empirically witnessed – Anti-Feminist is of course a man. He reads lads’ magazines and not only believes the women within its pages represent a paradigm of ultimate beauty, but that all other women should look and dress like them.

More interesting than mythical Anti-Feminists (AFs) are real AFs. In a number of developed countries there’s a rapidly growing number of men and women who self-identify as AFs and men’s human rights advocates (MHRAs) and support organisations such as my political party Justice for men & boys (and the women who love them) https://j4mbdotorgdotuk.wordpress.com and the associated Anti-Feminism League http://fightingfeminism.wordpress.com and Campaign for Merit in Business http://c4mb.wordpress.com. The following is a minute cross-section of blogs and websites of interest to AFs and MHRAs:

https://j4mbdotorgdotuk.wordpress.com/recommended-blogs-and-other-websites/

Should you ever wish to write a substantive article concerning anti-feminism and/or the men’s human rights movement, please feel free to email me (mike@j4mb.org.uk) or call me (07967 026163) and I’ll do what I can to supply information, or direct you to others who might help. In the meantime I’ll put up a post about your Independent article on our blogs, along with this comment.

Best wishes,

Mike Buchanan
