I invite you to make a donation to an organisation supporting male victims of domestic abuse in Scotland. From an email I’ve just received from them:
AMIS is a small but effective Scottish charity dedicated to supporting men who are experiencing, or have experienced, domestic abuse. In order to raise some much needed funds to continue this good work, 5 brave volunteers will be abseiling 140 feet down the Dundee University Tower on Saturday 24th August.
The employer of one of the participants has agreed to double her sponsorship funding if she can get to £250, so the pressure is on to assist Terri in reaching her goal! If you would like to help Terri achieve this and can spare a few pounds, or would like to support one of our other abseilers, please use our secure online giving facility at https://amis.workwithus.org/. From there you can link through to our own website where you will find information about the charity and other ways in which you can get involved.
Please do help if you can, and if you are in Dundee on the 24th around 1pm do come along and cheer!
Alison Waugh (AMIS Secretary and one of the Dundee abseilers)
