The Moggster, one of the most interesting and amusing presenters on GB News, recently proposed that his party (the Tories) and Reform UK form an electoral pact to contest the next general election, with a view to victory for ‘Toryism’. This would include offering Nigel Farage and Richard Tice (leader, Reform UK) and BoJo safe seats to contest at the next general election for the Tories, with a view to the following in the event of a Tory victory:
The Moggster interviewed Farage last night on his GB News show, the link here, relevant sections being 1:32 – 1:56, 2:37 – 2:57 and 5:40 – 16:57. The actual interview is in the final section of the three, but the others are worth catching by way of an introduction.
The idea of Farage and his Reform UK colleagues forming an electoral pact with the Tories is too awful to contemplate. At best it would result in a less devastating defeat for the Tories at the general election, at the cost of destroying Reform UK as a potentially major and genuinely right-of-centre party post-election, after the Tories fall into the dustbin of history, where they have long belonged – since at least the selection of the ultra-progressive David Cameron as party leader in 2005.
During my assignment as a consultant for the Tories (2006-8) I developed a new conference model for the party, which delivered £11.5 million to the party over the ensuing years, during whcih time it was the leading income stream of the party. The story is here. Given the rather lower cost for donors seeking knighthoods and peerages, I really should be Baron Buchanan of Bedford by now.

Nobody would have a “shred” of sympathy for a teacher [J4MB: Rebecca Joynes, 30] accused of having sex with two teenage pupils if she was a man, a jury has been told…
Joe Allman, prosecuting, said if Ms Joynes, 30, had been “Robert” Joynes and the complainants had been girls, it would not have been suggested to them they were “up for it” or the ones wanting sex, “because that would have been quite obscene”…
In his closing statements at Manchester Crown Court, Mr Allman said Ms Joynes was making a “naked attempt” for sympathy by having a pink bonnet – from the baby fathered by one of the underage boys she is accused of having sex with – tucked visibly into her trousers during the trial.
He asked the jury: “Is what is going on here, is: she hopes you will treat her very differently because she is a woman and not a man, and you will see this case differently because she’s a woman and not a man?” [J4MB: If only he could have omitted “Is what is going on here, is”, to remove any doubt on the matter.]
He suggested Ms Joynes would like jurors to forget she is a responsible, mature adult teacher and the boys were teenage children and school pupils.
“It has the effect of warping the picture, so she almost becomes the victim and the boys the perpetrators.”

An excellent piece in the Telegraph. Long story short for non-subscribers, Cara Wall-Scheffler, a ‘professor’ at Seattle Pacific University, has claimed that women hunt in 79 per cent of foraging societies. Vivek Venkataraman, a professor of anthropology and archaeology at the University of Calgary, highlighted how the daft bat had arrived at the absurdly exaggerated figure – including many of the manipulations we’ve come to expect from feminist ‘academics’. These parasitical women should all be fired and re-trained as bomb disposal experts. A couple of short YouTube videos on bomb disposal techniques should suffice.
