Drone footage, Bedford Park

This afternoon I shot a short video (4:24) in nearby Bedford Park. Some Bedford parks forbid drone flying, but not this one. The video description:

“A chap can’t spend ALL his time advocating for men and boys, and challenging feminism and feminists, he’d go mad. Woof.

Moving on from my passion for photography, I recently bought a second-hand DJI Mini 3 Pro (Fly More combo) – this 249g drone can rest on the palm of a hand – and it will take a long time before I master it sufficiently to create (hopefully!) impressive videos and photographs. In the meantime, this. The sheer fun of flying a drone has to be experienced to be believed.

There are huge numbers of videos on YouTube regarding drones. A Northern Irish man, Matthew Brennan, has made some terrific videos on a variety of drone models, including this Beginners’ Guide to the DJI Mini 3 Pro.”

Thousands of prisoners to be released in September

Our thanks to Daniel for this piece on the BBC. An extract:

“Over the next 18 months, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) told BBC Verify it estimated up to 4,000 extra male prisoners and fewer than 1,000 female prisoners will be released under the new measures.”

Daniel comments:

“There’s 3,600 women in prison in the uk, and are in for more serious crimes than men, on average. Yet in September, they’re releasing 1000 of them. (Or ‘just under 1000’) which is around 25% of the entire population. In contrast, just 5% of male prisoners are being released in September.”
