Government announces preferred candidate for Chair of Equality and Human Rights Commission, another feminist (what are the chances?), Mary-Ann Stephenson, a left-wing economist

Our thanks to Nigel for this government press release and this article (£) in the Telegraph. The appointment is fully consistent with two-tier Keir’s kowtowing to feminists whenever and wherever he can. An extract from the press release:

“Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson has 30 years of experience working on equality and human rights issues within the UK and internationally, over 20 of these at Board and CEO level. She also holds a PhD in equality law.

Positions she has held include:

  • Director of the Women’s Budget Group
  • Director of the Fawcett Society”

The woman will replace Kishwer Falkner, Baroness Falkner of Margravine. Nigel writes:

“And true to form, Labour appoints a feminist to oversee ‘human’ rights. You can bet boys and men won’t be included as humans.”
