SALLY: *grins excitedly* Oh, I’m all over the place! I love everything from old Motown records to current pop stars. *starts counting off on her fingers* Let’s see… I adore The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift…

ME: Oh God, everyone likes Taylor Swift. What are her fans called, again?

SALLY: *laughing* Her fans are called Swifties! And yes, she does seem to have a massive following everywhere. *shrugs nonchalantly* But hey, you can’t deny her talent and success. She’s broken countless records!

ME: She’s broken countless records? Does she have anger management issues? Does she also break CDs?

SALLY: *bursts into laughter, nearly falling off her chair* Oh my god, Mike! No, no, no! When I said ‘broken records,’ I meant she’s set many records and achieved milestones in the music industry. Like having the most number-one singles on Billboard Hot 100 charts or selling millions of albums worldwide.

Appalling. Of course performing MGM on non-therapeutic grounds is implicitly a criminal offence under OAPA1861 – it’s at least ABH, almost certainly GBH – but the police don’t arrest the criminals. I sought to bring a private prosecution of Balvinder Mehat, a Sikh circumciser in Nottingham, but a judge denied me leave to do so. Our many blog pieces on Mehat here.

“Appearing for sentencing at Nottingham Crown Court on 30 January 2026, Victoria Hampton – who now goes by Victoria Burke – was handed an 18-month prison sentence, suspended for two years.

Conditions of her suspended sentence include the requirement to wear a monitoring tag and reside at her address from 7pm-7am daily for one year and participate in 15 days of rehabilitation appointments.

Detective Constable Akil Kapasi, who led the investigation, said:

“The victim had trusted his partner of the time with his funds, and he was very sadly taken advantage of for several years.

“Armed with undeniable evidence, the jury, however,  were able to see through Hampton’s lies and expose her despicable actions.

“I hope that this sends a clear message to those responsible for the financial affairs of others that, if you take advantage of that for your own benefit, Nottinghamshire Police will put you before the courts.” “

DC Kapasti would have been justified to add at the end of his comments, “… where some dickhead of a judge will give you a suspended sentence, because vagina.”

Judge Mark Weekes ordered her to pay £1,000, carry out 150 hours of unpaid work and 15 hours of a rehabilitation requirement.”

The bottom line? The woman stole £100,000 that could have gone to supporting homeless people (mainly men) and food banks and has to pay back… er… £1,000. If that’s an appropriate punishment, I’m a bluefin tuna.

“And up pops another “suspended” sentence. Of course it had to be because how can we close women’s prisons otherwise? Of course a “mum” and black … well no wonder the Police were a bit off and on in their investigation. “Intersectionality” don’t you know.”

How does penis size affect ski jumping?

Before the start of the season, ski jumpers have to have their suits made up based on the measurements of their body length, including crotch height determined by an FIS-approved 3D body scanner in the presence of a doctor, stripped down to their underwear and with particular stipulations around posture.

The dimensions of that suit is strictly regulated because the total size of the suit can have a “significant effect” on the amount of lift that you can generate, which allows them to jump further, says Associate Prof Dan Dwyer, from Deakin University’s School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences.

Enlarging the penis with hyaluronic acid could provide a benefit when the athlete is subject to this standardised body measurement process, as the dimensions recorded of their body would be larger than they might have been otherwise, which then allows them to be permitted to have a slightly larger ski suit made, Dwyer says. “And that slightly larger ski suit has a larger surface area which can then generate a small amount of extra lift.”

Sandro Pertile, the men’s race director for the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS), says “every extra centimetre on a suit counts. If your suit has a 5% bigger surface area, you fly further. Of course, this is a competitive sport and everyone’s on the limit with the rules because everyone wants to win.”
