Brighton is currently hosting an event for more than 2,000 angry deplorable women, and a few angry deplorable men. Some of the women believe they are men, some of the men believe they are women. Some of these groups insist the world consider and treat them as belonging to the oppositr sexes, both publicly and privately.
Sales of blue hair dye and nose rings must be at an all-time high in the town.
FiLiA, a charity campaigning for a world free from patriarchy, is organising the event – the Filia Women’s Rights Conference – at the Brighton Conference Centre from today to Sunday, October 12. I know you’ll be disappointed that registration for the event has closed.
A Yahoo piece, Calls for boycott as Europe’s largest feminist conference comes to city, starts with the following, which takes up the remainder of this blog piece:
“Calls have been made by transgender activists to boycott Europe’s largest feminist conference which is taking place in Brighton today.
FiLiA, a charity campaigning for a “world free from patriarchy”, is holding the event at the Brighton Centre for three days, until Sunday (October 12).
More than 2,400 delegates will gather for what the charity describes as “Europe’s biggest grassroots feminist conference”.
But posters campaigning against the event have begun appearing around the city, put up by TLF (Trans Liberation Front) Brighton – a group which says it “fights for trans and LGBTQ+ rights across Sussex”.
The poster claims that FiLia supports “anti trans policies, anti sex work policies, opposing adult content online including in video games” and is “pro police and tough on crime”.
The group also took to social media to rally its members for a three-day protest outside The Brighton Centre.
