Our thanks to James for this Kate Andrews’ piece on pay gap statistics that argues against both the faulty information that our government is determined to mine – and the heavy handed intervention that is justified by it.

What the Conservative Party Needs: Feminism
Garvan Walshe, former National and International Security Policy Adviser to the Conservative Party, has had a piece published on Conservative Home arguing that the way for the Tories to secure the votes of the younger demographic is to embrace feminism. The flagship policy that he is suggesting is free childcare to rectify the “pay gap” (which is really a “productivity gap”).
Readers concerned by this idea may want to drop a comment underneath the article.
Justice Squad
Our thanks to James for this – harrowing scenes from a British primary school where children are being grievously misinformed and whose resulting outrage at perceived female disadvantage is being harnessed to perform feminist activism.

Parents Who Default on Child Maintenance Payments Could Have Their Passports Confiscated
Thanks to James for this link.
Ministers are pushing through a plan to punish non-payers of child maintenance with the confiscation of their passports – as an alternative to taking their driving licenses. Kit Malthouse, Child Maintenance Minister, explained that the latter “impacts somebody’s ability to work very often and of course, we’d like them to work so they can pay the maintenance.“
The plan is likely to be better for all concerned – however can not be described as ‘just’ until denying nonresident parents access to their children carries a similar penalty.
