Johnny Depp Scores a Victory in Amber Heard $50 Million Defamation Lawsuit

Johnny Depp has won his defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard over a Washington Post op-ed she wrote last year where she referred to herself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse.”

Given that Depp’s counter-allegations, that Heard was in fact the abuse perpetrator in their relationship, appear (given the result) to be true; Amber Heard is lucky to have only lost money and reputation – and not her liberty.

Non-feminist Revolution blog update

Since the publication of The Non-Feminist Declaration, last year, I have been responsible for updating the associated blog. I have received a significant number of signatories submitting their details, the vast majority of which are still waiting to be added to the public list. If you are one of them, I do apologise, and assure you that I will get to the task ASAP.

This morning, I have published a new page on the site which will house a collection of memes with quotes from famous non-feminists. At the time of writing, Kate Bush is the only lonely non-feminist on the page, but she is to be joined by many more in the near future. Please do pass on your suggestions for further stars to include!

Hungary sees abortion numbers plunge with rise of pro-family policies

Policies including: maternity support, paid childcare leave, family tax benefits and housing allowance, tax allowances that encourage young couples to marry, encourage young couples to marry, vacation benefits, no-charge holiday camps for children, subsidized textbooks, and decreased utility costs, are believed to have contributed to a plunge in abortion numbers by more than a third since 2010.

The unbearable wokeness of Tarantino’s critics

Great piece by Andrew Doyle in Spiked! bemoaning the replacement of genuine art criticism with post-modern whining.

Sweet picture of an eight year old boy consoling his autistic classmate goes viral

Christian Moore, eight, touched Facebook users by comforting autistic Connor Crites, also eight, as they started second grade at Minneha Elementary School in Wichita, Kansas, earlier this month.

Conor’s mother said: “It doesn’t matter colour, it doesn’t matter gender, it doesn’t matter disability, and it doesn’t matter anything, just be kind, open your heart… it’s what we need in this world.”

Petition for Independent Inquiry in Family Court Failings

Court orders have placed children at risk of harm through being forced to live with or spend time with abusive parents. Parents have taken their lives as a result of poor decisions which disrupt and sever bonds between children and families. Successive reviews have failed to solve systemic problems.

Clandestine proceedings – meant to protect the identities of children and families – prevent scrutiny, eliminate accountability, stifle debate, mask incompetence, breed distrust, prevent learning and development. Public faith and trust in the system have collapsed. Only an INDEPENDENT inquiry – free from influence by the judiciary, Whitehall, all pressure groups and other third parties – will disclose the true extent of any problems and start to build public confidence in a failing system.

Sign the petition here.

Elizabeth’s photo shoot!

I recently had the pleasure of mucking about in a Brixton studio wearing my favourite dresses, being photographed by Anthony J Corniche III. The purpose was to get some decent shots for the Lovely Ladies of the Men’s Movement charity calendar. Their team has now chosen some snaps for their exclusive use, allowing me to share the rest of the roll.

Huge thanks to AJCIII for his hard work. His account of the day was shared on Twitter earlier:

”She’s a MONSTER. Turned up drunk. Set the dressing room alight trying to smoke a hair roller

Could hardly stand & swung for anyone that tried to walk behind her

These were shot with a 500mm lens from across the road, for safety.”

Our recollections differ, just slightly! The full album can be viewed here.
