In defence of Pick Up Artists

Our thanks to Red Pill Rights for sharing their work with us.

A four part series:

J4MB does not encourage pick up artistry – it’s a form of gynocentrism, in which adherents seek self esteem from ephemeral moments of approval from women. However, the idea (propagated by the BBC and media and politicians in the wake of the Panorama investigation into the subculture) that pick up artists are motivated by hatred of women is laughably absurd – and moves to criminalise pick up artistry are outrageous.

If everyone who read this gave us £5.00 – or even better, £5.00 or more, monthly – we could change the world. £5.00 monthly would entitle you to Bronze party membership, details here. Benefits include a dedicated and signed book by Mike Buchanan. Click below to make a difference. Thanks.

Regular followers of this website are aware that neither Elizabeth Hobson, party leader, nor Mike Buchanan, party chairman, draw any income from the party’s income streams. They both work very long hours on behalf of men and boys (and the women who love them) so they’re unable to engage in paid employment.

We appeal to those who appreciate our work for financial support to help us meet our living expenses. We’ve set up Patreon pages for this purpose. Elizabeth’s page is here, Mike’s page is here. Thank you for your support.

Leaders Update

It’s now 96 hours since I took up my position as the leader of J4MB and it’s been a wonderful adventure so far! I haven’t been blogging much and wanted to let readers know what I’m busy with: I’m currently working on my NCMI speech (‘The links between Domestic Abuse and other men’s issues’), all videos will be published to our YouTube channel on the 7th June. I’m also working on a new manifesto, in light of my decision to stand for election to The London Assembly.

I’d like to thank everyone for their messages of support, and I’d like to thank all members of the J4MB team who are all busy working on all kinds of exciting projects which will come to fruition soon!

The Counter-Feminist Essays by Fidelbogen (free book!)

I’m pleased to announce the entry of Fidelbogen’s ‘The Counter-Feminist Essays’ into the public square. It’s an excellent, engaging and enlivening read, designed to be shared freely and liberally (PDF here). I contributed a foreword, and have published a video announcement (5:48) too.

‘I met my troll’ – Gina Miller and Alan

Our thanks to Stu for pointing out this interesting exchange (video, 5:29) in which Gina Miller has a conversation with Alan, who sent her offensive messages on social media. It clearly contains a positive message about how people on social media can dehumanise each other, but J4MB wonders whether the BBC may have missed a point – that, actually, Alan is disenfranchised and does have justification for anger, whether or not his resulting behaviour was acceptable.

An Objectivist’s Case for Men’s Rights Advocacy

An excellent read from Vernon Meigs documenting his own philosophical evolution; and exploring ideas found within the Men’s Human Rights Movement through an Objectivist lens. Meigs argues that, whilst on the surface glib comparisons can be made between feminism and the MHRM, in reality the philosophies of Objectivism (which is diametrically opposed to feminism) and the MHRM can go ‘hand in hand’.

Meigs writes that he is:

hoping to contribute is a sense of men and boys being esteemed and loved for being men and boys, as individuals that offer the best versions of themselves to the world at no loss and sacrifice to themselves.

I share in the hope that he continues to do so!

Volunteers sought for male empowerment webinar

Along with Amit Patel, I have been working on devising a workshop about male empowerment. Amit is a 29 year old man who has majored in Business with a concentration in Marketing. He’s currently looking forward to going back to grad school for Accounting/Finance. He’s interested in helping men out, because he’s been through struggles in life from being emotionally, sexually, & physically abused. He made it out alive by graduating from college when his family & peers said he would fail. Amit believes he has the “personal experience” of a man who was beaten by the system, but fought through it and made it to the top.

The workshop has, we hope, a broad scope and reach so could be of use to many men. We hope that the materials prove useful to other organisers to include in their own events and courses, but are planning to run our own online workshop with several volunteers in the near future. We haven’t finalised which platform we’ll use (options include Zoom, Discord and Microsoft Teams) or the date but we are planning to record the session and make it publicly available so participants will need to be willing to have their audio contributions shared – if not their video.

If you would like to take part, please email me at elizabeth@j4mb.org.uk.
