She considers that if she had won, she would not have finished her college studies, but would have become a model, an actress or a housewife.”

“Well, it’s to easy to laugh at this. Yet marrying yourself has become a “thing” in the US and indeed here. It perhaps says something about men and women that I’ve never seen a man marry himself. The epitome of “look at me” narcissism and plain old fashioned vanity this symbolises so much of what is on offer from modern feminism. I imagine a man doing this would be vilified rather than so indulged.”
