HMNZS Manawanui now identifies as a submarine.

The reef had a history of misogyny and homophobia.

A Lesbian schoolteacher promoted to Captain of a large naval ship. What could possibly go wrong?

A tenth of the navy. She decimated it.

If only the ship had more semen aboard.

  1. Well I’m willing to bet one of the two male co defendants will take the fall for this. No doubt the argument will be that Mz Gray was newish to the ship and her male underlings were more experienced. Rather like the formulation when a “star” female Pilot flew her helicopter into a passenger plane over the river in Washington. In the latter case she “mis heard” or didn’t want to follow instructions to take evasive action and flew straight into the aircraft. I shall be googling the result of Cdr. Gray’s case.

  2. And as tensions increase internationally more discussion of conscription here ‘White feather’ Brits refusing WW3 conscription ‘risk court tribunals’ | UK | News | Express.co.uk Though I doubt such a general mobilisation will occur one of the “lottery” style might to bolster numbers. The Government’s report blandly states “Most countries obligate men to serve, offering opportunities for women to volunteer if they wish.” You really couldn’t get a clearer statement of the inequality between the sexes. As explained men not wanting to serve will be imprisoned or plead their case as “conscientious objectors” while their sisters /female contemporaries will be “offered opportunities” as they “wish”. The piece also outlines women’s “white feather campaign in WW1 explicitly to shame men into enlisting, though leaves out the Pankhurst’s (mother and daughter) role in this. I recently saw a piece on the rolling back of feminism in Japan and South Korea, one part was the increased competition as both economies boom period stalled, the additional costs and lack of competitiveness of female workers (Preference Theory) reduced their employment as comfy jobs reduced. Another was men. young men in particular demanding equality to match the privileges accorded to females and ending the obligations legal and social men have and women don’t. And finally men saying “OK marriage is “oppression”, so I’ll not marry!” Turns out that its women who want to marry, who knew?

I guess few older guys will question the massive gap between conscripting young men and women wandering in to “play the hero” “if they wish”. But having had “equality” shoved at them all their lives many younger men will.
