  1. Women are well known to be the majority initiators and perpetrators of domestic violence. The studies by Steve Moxon indicate that this behaviour is deeply embedded in mate-guarding. Yet society, when forced to confront and pay lip service to even the possibility of F -> M violence sees only the tip of a hidden iceberg of male suffering. Men are stubbornly unwilling to report abuse by a partner. The reasons for this probably hinge on the practicalities of the situation, just as much as the psychology.

Whenever DV escalates to the situation where police become involved, the woman is likely to make a false counter-allegation, knowing that she will be believed.

Immediately, an innocent man becomes a social pariah, with a future which is likely to include loss of access to his family home, loss of access to his children, loss of much of the wealth he has invested in that family, loss of future earnings…

The loss of face aspect is probably a relatively minor component. Yet, feminists and Guardianistas are fond of blaming fragile male ego for all male woes (when they’re not blaming male stoicism).

Of course, they can’t and won’t see that women are the beneficiaries of a legal system set up by men, with outcomes intended to protect and benefit women.

Heaven help us when the political and legal system is set up by women, with outcomes intended to protect and benefit women.

That loneliness and loss of mental well-being will be spread more widely amongst the male population. It won’t be confined to those unfortunate male victims of domestic violence and female expedient advantage.
