Starmer also had a good “photo opportunity” with Martin’s Law.Yet another law with someone’s name that simply replicates existing law. So his following bandwagon on this is all the same. I’m sure there will be more and more of these, as reality of our debt and “events” means all the expectations of “free stuff” are dashed for Labour’s favoured constituents. So it will be bad news for boys and men (specially the white ones) as Labour continues to play “being specially nice to women and girls” cards to grab some positive photo oops and friendly headlines. Because they have no really concrete policies to offer.

Just to say “Sargon of Akkad” does a very detailed analysis of the series. And interesting watch. He makes the point that the school and teachers come out of it particularly badly. Not surprising teachers who’ve actually seen it may baulk at showing it to their pupils!

I had read somewhere the suggestion that if a school were to show this “documentary”( Starmers words ?) , then it should immediately be followed by “baby reindeer”.
But given the govt current approach to the grooming scandal( and last years murder), I would say that the govt seems to spectacularly fail children at every turn..
