‘Below-standard care’ surgeon Kuldeep Stohr named – 800 patients to be reviewed

Shocking (Times, £). The care of hundreds of NHS patients (many of them children) is being urgently reviewed because of concerns about a surgeon at one of England’s leading hospitals. Stohr is a specialist paediatric orthopaedic consultant at Cambridge University Hospitals Trust. Would the medical authorities have been so slow to investigate if the surgeon had been a man? I very much doubt it.

  1. This about the NZ ship that ran aground is interesting. https://youtu.be/qwkGsfPJX20?si=bB58R5tqjKlhOTX0 Basic conclusion the “Captain” and her crew didn’t know how the ship worked and didn’t follow checking procedure. Given the sex of the captain the report will not be made public with any kind of publicity. Many of the comments from people who had crewed or knew the ship in its history are illuminating about what seems a sloppy captain and crew.
