The European countries which have imposed military conscription A couple of Scandinavian countries include some women in their conscription and a couple of others allow women to volunteer. But the imposition is uniformly on men. In other words men are compelled into various forms of “forced labour”, one with a very high casualty rate! Of course conscription was specifically taken out of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights article prohibiting slavery and forced labour.
