A guilty plea and on the same day the announcement of a public enquiry. Actually a good result for the gov. No trial, no couple of weeks of reporting. Public enquiry; kicked into long grass for later this year or even next. And a welcome distraction from the far bigger issue of decades of concealed grooming gangs. I imagine high fives between Starmer and Cooper. Topped off with a task force to ensure no women go to prison, because nothing is better as virtue signalling than being extra nice to women.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that Angela Rayner, a Cabinet member with full access to the facts, attempted to deny any connection with immigration & terrorism, accusing Nigel Farage of disseminating ‘fake news’. https://www.pressreader.com/uk/the-daily-telegraph/20250123/281492166986720
