  1. A good example in this country is “Stonewall” drafted policies in many organisations that are found in fact to be illegal and unlawful in content. The reluctance and difficulties to litigate in this country mean there is a great deal of “positive” discrimination going on in our public services in checked because people don’t know it is simply illegal. HR policies drafted by administrators or copied from lobby groups abound and are presumed to be legal. But they simply aren’t as shown in the few cases that do get to court. In my dreams a wealthy benefactor/s would step forward to fund legal support for those willing to challenge in tribunals and courts what are often poorly drafted and completely unlawful or illegal practices.

    unless the “interpretation” of the law is challenged it carries on, even if not legal at all.
