  1. As always “wonderful” and “amazing” women. I often wonder if any of the feminists, so keen to investigate “gendered language”, stop to wonder why it is they use the same sorts of words and turns of phrase that are used of children in the school play or nativity? Now I’m willing to admit that my middle son being the “second donkey” in the nativity play or my daughter being a singing tree, probably wasn’t as “wonderful” as I described to them at the time. And the “amazing” thing was simply that they didn’t get bored and wonder off (as my eldest had done). But the similar use of the terminology of primary school events… well you’d think it suggested it was a miracle the WEP’s few members contrived to turn up at all.

From its start the WEP was an entirely redundant talking shop because all the issues mentioned were pursued by the “mainstream” Parties, some in fact for decades. Feminism was fully integrated into Labour, Green, SNP, Lib Dem. and “Call me Dave” Conservatives by the time Sandi decided to create her little club.
