Justice for Men & Boys 
I do not doubt the veracity of basing this in the mating choices of humans. However “pretty power” seems to work more generally. In working in overwhelmingly female occupations I’d observe that this sort of thing is also quite normal amongst women. Maybe it’s simply a continuation of the dynamic in youth, or deeper. Generally women appear to live in a web of illusions and manipulations. The exceptions seemed to be “no nonsense” types, Dutch or Scandinavian women I’ve worked with and lesbian women. just my experience. It was interesting that despite the jealousy and whispering about obviously attractive women, face to face the women would be as likely to lie to pretty women as men make might. Adding to their inflated egos all the time. I’ve often thought it’s interesting that “Women’s” magazines, advertising and programming is full of attractive women. While generally “everyman” appears in the small amount of advertising and programming for men. While of course in sports magazines etc the men are there for what they do/ achieve. Curiously it’s the output for gay men that apes the output for women. And it’s this output and imagery that is also used for advertising to women( most obviously in advertising of “gifts” such as expensive aftershave etc.). Go figure ?
