A tragic report (Telegraph, £), written by a man. Yet another case of social services failing to intervene when a mother is clearly not looking after a child or children adequately. The consequence in this case was the deaths of four young twin boys.
A report by a woman for the BBC could almost be relating to a different case, such is the lack of truthful reporting about the case.

Indeed in reports I read it was unsurprising that the general tone was one of “tragedy”, “mental health” and social services not doing much. Simply imagine the difference had the father had custody and gone out regularly from a home in disarray despite support from the non resident mother and in laws. And refusing help from social services.
