Given that during that time the CPS and Police were deliberately concealing evidence in order to increase the number of convictions, with reports in 2018 concluding 25% of cases in previous years were “unsound”, it seems the CCRC were carefully steming the possible tsunami of such cases.

And of course the odious radfem Alison Saunders https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alison_Saunders was the Director of Public Prosecutions over 2013-18, in her final year earning over £210,000. Today the Prime Minister is paid about £166,000, it would have been rather less back in 2018.
