  1. Good. In fact there are such small initiatives dotted about the country. They are all in “shire counties” which suggests that the authorities are less blinded by feminist propaganda. The metropolitan boroughs are much less likely to e the site of positive initiatives. The reality is of course that the people at the “coal face” of this issue, even some in Womens aids services, constantly come across male victims in their work and do try to help. All this is actively suppressed by the national lobby groups and the national Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy which effectively prevents any official recognition and funding to support for male victims.

  2. This local story is unusually full in describing how Domestic Abuse affects men. And the real value of male friendly support and refuge services. ‘I’m a 6ft tall, big man – but what she did to me made me want to die’ – Manchester Evening News

“People don’t think it happens to men. I’m quite a big lad, and people just think why would you let a girl hit you and you don’t do anything back?

“So I just got into my car and drove into a wall to try and kill myself.”

Fortunately he survived and eventually was helped. at the small refuge for men. As he says “”It was a really huge help and I think we need more places like it.”
