Beal’s victim was only 42 when she murdered him.

I see that the “Wistrich” defense, that she was abused and therefore had lost her mind was attempted in this case.
“She exploited a narrative that she was the victim of abuse at the hands of her long-term partner, but rather than leave the relationship, she killed him in a planned, cold-blooded execution when he thought he was safe with his partner”
Hardly surprising given that the most famous successful use of this was a case where a woman lured her victim to her house and bludgeoned him to death with a hammer she’d bought for that purpose! Of course the “evidence” for this abuse amounted to uncorroborated allegations in this case, but even so the paper happily repeats it.
