Deborah Turness, chief executive of BBC news and current affairs, claims impartial news is ‘increasingly becoming an affront’ to audiences who feel balanced coverage is ‘an attack on their values’

Absurd. The BBC has long been one of the most biased (progressive) producers of ‘news’ in the world.

  1. The funniest bit is the comment about “facts”, the BBC these days has few facts in its news coverage. The other thing that became quite clear, due to the ease of “googling”, is how little actual journalism is actually done by all those tax payer funded “journalists”. What actually is produced is often word for word copies of press releases or from Reuters or other of the news agencies. No evidence of any digging to check on the veracity of these or add to the picture. At least ITV news has the honesty to refer to its production as a “show”.
