Claire Marie-Ange Buchanan, 95, RIP

Some years ago, I posted a piece following the death of Malcolm, my wonderful Scottish father. A few hours ago I was present when my equally wonderful French-Canadian mother, Claire Marie-Ange Buchanan, 95, breathed her last. I am closing the office for a number of days.

  1. Mike, please accept my deepest sympathy and condolences upon the loss of your dear mother!! I am so very sorry to hear of her passing. Given what a fine, resolute, strong, dedicated and brave man that you are it’s easy to surmise that you came from two truly wonderful and exemplary parents. You are such a great guy, Mike! And thank you for all your tireless dedication!! You’re in my thoughts and meditations, Mike!

  2. My consolations on the passing of your mother. She reached the same age (95) my mother reached. There is no greater feeling of solitude. Again, my consolations.

  3. Mike my sincerest condolences. My Father died 20 years ago at 96 and I am still not over it.

Your mother must have been proud of you fighting for what you believe in. My respect to you and yours.
