A new piece by Melanie Phillips. It relates to her prescient 361-page book The Sex-Change Society: Feminised Britain and the Neutered Male (1999). I’m pleased to own a copy. The cheapest (used) copy currently available on Amazon is £34.99 – here.
Melanie Phillips explains the unfortunate history of the book in her article. Some years ago I emailed the Social Market Foundation, the original publisher, noting the book was out of print, and asked for permission to publish it though my venture LPS Publishing. I didn’t receive a reply, and now I know why.

It is a good read as it addresses the British context. And Phillips had been a lefty and wrote a history of the Suffragettes, so had a keen eye for the way feminism was cleverly targeting key institutions.
