Should killing unborn children be removed from the criminal law?

I’m a member of an excellent organization, Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC). I attended their national conference in Milton Keynes in the summer, and found it an inspiring and surprisingly uplifting event. John Deighan, CEO, will be a speaker at the Budapest conference next August, his speech titled, “Abortion is a Men’s Issue”. SPUC are very good at keeping their members informed of events, and encouraging them to get involved in campaigning. An example is a letter and document I recently received in the post, Should abortion be removed from the criminal law? Six pages in total, well worth reading. The proposed changes to the law include this:
A woman could abort for any reason, including the sex of the baby.
I have no doubt that women will kill significantly more male babies than female babies, something we touched on in 2015 in a piece titled, Feminist aborts baby because it was a boy: ‘Something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy,’ she says. I expect no records will be taken of the sex of the killed babies, in order to hide this reality. You can join SPUC here.
