Sky News: GB News suspends Laurence Fox as he refuses to apologise for ‘totally unacceptable’ comments about Ava Evans

Our thanks to Steve for this. An extract:
But Fox’s suspension came after he stood by his comments in his own social media posts on Wednesday. He said: “I stand by every word of what I said.” He went on to add: “It’s called free speech. “I realise that the new woke world is low on laughter and high on offence, but it’s still worth trying to find the lighter moments in this joyless new cancel culture which has been created for us.” The actor and presenter also said: “So if you are expecting a grovelling apology, I suggest you don’t hold your breath. I won’t ever apologise to the mob. “Have a lovely day.”

  1. Having listened to what both Lawrence fox and Ava Evans said during the gb news programmer, I have made a complaint to both bbc and Ofcom for female sexism, misandry, and hateful language aimed at men. As well as for impeding (male) free speech while at the same time allowing the female “journalist” to say anything she wanted, including insulting and belittling men. I invite everyone to do the same. The double-standards are off the charts.
Ava Evans has blatantly belittled men and men’s issues and falsely accused men of waging a war on women – thus also insulting men. An apology from both Evans and GB News is massively on the cards for all this.

  2. Gynocentrism would suggest that the men involved will be the “baddies” in this. I see GBNews has also suspended Dan Wootton. In truth men have to box clever in a society where both women and men apply a much higher standard to men’s behavior of the “mind your language in front of the ladies” sort. Feminists simply ride this much much older and deeper wave. It is the hypocrisy of feminism to demand “equality” while all the time using the “patriarchal” impulses to protect and serve ladies to leverage these and more privileges that are far from equality.
I see Piers Morgan is leading the charge to punish Fox.
Frankly Fox was naive and Wootton simply collateral damage. I complained about Evans Vs. Norcott, where in fact Norcott lured her into showing her true colours. I expect Fox and Wootton will end up having to do their time in the sin bin.
