Falsely Accused Day has been put together by a number of individuals and support organisations in the UK who have joined to raise awareness of the scourge of False Accusations. The 9th of September was chosen to honor Simon Warr on, what would have been, his birthday. Simon was himself falsely accused of historical child abuse, and sadly passed away at the beginning of 2020. Simon’s experience was not unique and many thousands of people in the UK every year find themselves thrown into an alternate reality where they are required to prove historic allegations are false or risk facing being charged and the very real possibility of conviction for a crime they did not commit. It is our intention to raise public awareness about the failing justice system in the United Kingdom which is not only allowing, but encouraging false accusations.I’ll be joining those meeting outside New Scotland Yard, London, at 2 p.m. that day. I invite you to join us.
