  1. Well I dont agree with Whelan every time but this time she’s spot on. All Farage had to do was to make public the Bank’s decision making, a read of which illustrates how unprofessional and personally motivated the supposed careful process was. Then to cap it all Rose is seen to be cosying up to a journalist and even admits to sharing details of a customers business (even if it turns out this was not pertinent to the decision but to try to “spin” the story). Farage shone a light of publicity on Rose and the bank and they shone with duplicity, arrogance and leaking. Really all their own work. And yes par for the course, of course the danger is that such incompetence is allowed to go unchecked as sacking the “diversity hire” is pretty politically unpalatable. Particularly in labour it seems.
